They put some metal in my leg, seems pretty similar to Buds setup.

Sorry to hear about your accident. I'm sure alot of people who read the Board have had metal put in their bodies at one time or another, including me. I had a tibia rod and a couple of screws in for three years. It used to bother me sometimes, just kind of ache. I don't know if everyone has problems when they are sporting hardware but my advice to you is get it out as soon as they will let you. I haven't had a ache or pain in the leg that I broke since I had the rod and screws taken out.

Hi Dave, yea I hear ya, actually I have a
metal plate in my right leg from way back
( no parachute involved ), that one hurts
once and again. Can't imagine how they
would dig out this new rod on the left side
( goes from my hip down to the knee ).
But once everything heals then we can take
a look at that.
