    GROUND BREAKING ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!!!

    The rumors are true!
"The World's Most Difficult Base Jump Ever Performed In The World"
is now a reality! No longer has this incredible feat only been attempted it has now been performed!
On Sat. October 19th at approximately 1:00pm 6 jumpers stood atop New River Gorge Bridge for the Bridge Day Festival. The stunt was announced and all eyes shifted to the 6 best base jumpers in the world. Except for the random "No! don't do it!" or "That's just plain stupidity!" there was total silence. The stunning blue and silver gleem of the 4 Red Bull Airforce helmets standing in total concentrated focus at the edge of death was almost too much to bear. People turned away unable watch as their horrified anticipation got the best of them. Amid the blue and silver stood a more focused and driven Cliff Ryder and James Nathan Halliday than the world had yet to witness. Halliday counted down. 5,4,3,2,1..............There was a seemingly eternal pause. And then the crew launched themselves from relative obscurity in the base community to landing as the six greatest base jumpers to have ever graced the sport.

"I'm just so happy. I can't stop crying. I look forward to spending time with my family now." said Cliff Ryder after the incredible feat.

"I've always known that I am the best so maybe now everyone else will understand." - Red Bull Air Force pledge Shane McConkey

"I really thought that I would have to learn how to base jump before I attempted this stunt with these guys. It was a great way to enter the double digits." - Red Bull Air Force Team Captain and World Champion Paraglider Othar Lawrence

"Dude, did you see how pointed my toes were!!??? Are you kidding me!" - Red Bull Air Force Pledge Miles Daisher.

"GROUP HUG! GROUP HUG! You guys, that was the greatest moment of my life. And I have two kids." - Red Bull Air Force Member Charles Bryan.

"ITS OK!.....NO REALLY, ITS OK! NO I'M SERIOUS! ITS OK! WHAT? OH, PILOT CHUTE ASSIST. YEA. HUH? YEA, YEA, ITS ALL RIGHT. TWO SECOND DELAY." - Base movie producer of "Standard Issue" and ex human canonball for Barnum and Bailey James Halliday.

    RE: GROUND BREAKING ACCOMPLISHMENT!

I thought the most difficult BASE jump was that gainer through the small triangle at Auburn back in 1998? That dude cleared the steel with ease (several feet of clearance, not inches), yet the crowd was shocked at the complexity of this jump. I can't remember his name now??? Oh well...

    RE: GROUND BREAKING ACCOMPLISHMENT!

WOW!!! I was on that load and I still can't get over how cool I am. I got a picture of the exit with the six of us (check attachment) hanging over my desk and I just day dream all day long of that jump. While the six of us are great BASE jumpers, I must be the BEST! If I performed the "World’s most difficult BASE jump ever performed in the world" and that was my tenth jump then I must have more natural ability to huck than anybody. It saddens me that the radness of the other five jumpers(also my friends) on that load will be totally eclipsed by my greatness, but the time for a new leader is now.

I do owe all my success to those guys for bringing me up through the ranks in record time, so I’m sure I will be begging to use their equipment again soon. I would also like to thank Red Bull for giving me tens of thousands of dollars to make that jump happen, it is absolutely great there is a company out there that is willing to pay the best loads of $$$. Also my mom and dad deserve a big pat on the back for making such a great person out of me.

I hope my humbleness isn’t lost on the readers of this post and I can’t wait to be the leader of more ground breaking stunts in the future.
