bpr, PLEASE EMAIL ABOUT YOUR COURSES ASAP!!!!!!!
Hey Mick,
Thanks for the heads up but my first jump course will not be taking place at any of the places you mentioned. I have several legal bridges that we will be traveling to.
I appreciate and understand your concern. Like you, I am an avid sight preservationist. In the 11 years I have been jumping, I have NEVER been injured, busted, or blown a sight. Sight preservation is something I place great emphasis upon while teaching. The way I see it, those who train with me are carrying my reputation with them.
My students and I have discussed the possibility of traveling to other sights once the training has been completed but it’s not set in stone. We will travel further only after I’m confident that ALL ON THE LOAD ARE UP TO THE TASK. I make it clear to all my students that if there is even one student who has not demonstrated adequate skill improvement; none of us will go to any other sight. A nice side effect of this is that the students all help each other. In the past there have been students that had not progressed sufficiently and I have had to refuse taking the load of “newly experienced” jumpers to any other sights. I have never been involved in a fatality and I aim to keep it that way.
I have seen how some have been vilified on the web for their teaching methods and I can assure you that I will do everything in my power to not be one of them. Thanks again for the heads up.
Kevin
