    Lauterbrunnen question

Sorry for the boring question, but does anyone know of someplace in Lauterbrunnen where a wandering Dog like me can set up a mailing address for business and personal correspondence? In the States, we have Post Office boxes and the like.

Are there such things in the Swiss world, and more importantly is there one in Lauterbrunnen itself? If not, Interlaken would work I suppose.

Any and all help much appreciated, and will be rewarded with a switfly wagging tail.

    Peace,

    Swiss Post Office Boxes:

    The Lauterbrunnen Post Office:

I seem to remember seeing PO Boxes, and people using them, outside the Post Office, opposite the station.

    RE: Lauterbrunnen question

You can get PO Boxes in the local post offices. You just need to have a local Address (I know, this sounds strange, one would need a PO Box when he doesn't have a fix address...). I don't know if this address needs to be in the same place where the Post Office is. What you could try is to give the address of the Campground in Lauterbrunnen, saying that you stay there.

Or you can make send your local mail to the Post Office itself (called "poste restante", don't know the english term) and you have to show them your Id prior to get your mail. But true, this is more complicated...

Thanks, Toni. I'm renting an apartment in the valley for the summer, so I'll have a local address to provide.

    No, because:

"BASE jumping is BETTER THAN making love to a beautiful woman..."

    hehe...

    And further:
"Swiss Toni is not Swiss, and believe it or not, his accent was based on Sean Connery's. No explanation was ever given as to why he had a girl's name."
