Le principe de l’escalade libre est de grimper une paroi sans corde ni sécurité, mais en portant avec sois un parachute. Une fois à bonne hauteur, le grimpeur prend une grande respiration et s'élance en chandelle dans le vide. Il tombe à une vitesse vertigineuse avant de déployer son parachute très près du sol. Il fini sa descente dans le calme. Impressionnant !
