I am having some issues with my Flik 260' with 4 vents and a 34" vented PC.
I am having issues finding a small whole mesh slider right now, so I have a large whole and have been using direct control for the slider and have been rolling the heck out of the nose, but I am still getting really hard openings.

I am looking for advise as to what I can do as this is way too hard. Someone suggested the slider-gate, and potentially in addition to the direct control. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

Hi Mick

I sometimes have this problem on terminal tracking jumps however I think it has more to do with body position than hard openings. If you open in full track then your body goes from a head low position to upright in a couple of seconds as well as decelerating massively. This can really hurt, especially if you're tall.

I find that if I level of my track in the last couple of seconds the opening seems a lot less violent, even though my delay + packing method haven't changed.

A 32" works just fine at terminal.

Put a zingzuit on as you can flare it a bit to get softer openings.

Use direct and indirect slider control.

Roll the piss out of the nose.

Fine mesh works just fine for sliders.

If you go terminal then why aren't you wearing a zingzuit?

Get a different tarp.

Put a zingzuit on!

A zingzuit is an apparatus that allows you to look really cool. It also fixes for poor body positions but iff you wear a go pro otherwise it does not work as advertised.

I found a small whole mesh slider for a 245 but my canopy is a 260.

Will this work?

In my limited experience, a tailgate seems to slow SU openings some.
