Despite being "the coolest thing ever done in Oregon, period", is this really a BASE jump? Or is it just a speedfly exit, ground launch, or kiting a canopy??

I helped a guy kite his BASE canopy off of G-Spot in Moab when the winds were wrong. It was impressive, but I wouldn't consider it a "BASE jump".

Labelling a particular Jump/Flight as "BASE" matters
a whole lot more if the person has single digits...
but once a guy or gal has hundreds or thousdands
of SKY, BASE, Tandems, Speedflights, etc.

It really comes down to somantics. For the record
I would not consider it an A qualifying BASE jump.

My rule:

If you have to ASK if it's a BASE jump, then it's NOT a BASE jump.
