On the 24th july at Norway, kjerag
A Russian Base Jumper with 200 Base jumps/200 skydives passed away.
The deceased died on a 12 sec rock drop doing multiple aerials, after 10 seconds of aerials he comes out facing the wall at 11-12 seconds turned facing fjord and pitched there was no seperation from wall (tracking) and opened with a off heading hitting wall, multiple cliffstrikes ending up hung up on wall / killed on impact
Jumper was wearing no helmet or protective equipment..
I am sorry for the Russian community who i believe has lost a highly respected jumper..
This information is written from myself who was there..
Name will not be released until police contact relatives less then 24 hours old..
I am very sorry for the loss. This does not help the sport. But interesting details. Much should be taken as learning experience here. Even though it seems that the BFL is riddled with people who continue to NOT learn from mistakes. We continue to do that same mistakes over and over again?
