Has there ever been a trial jump-off of a selection of canopies from different manufacturers?

Filming several jumps on each canopy - same jumper exiting the same way - jumping same object in the same conditions (indoors would be ideal) - same container - same packing technique - and not telling the jumper what canopy was in each pack so their personal preference won't influence the outcomes - having the footage posted online to a free forum without any commentary until after the fact so that everyone can pull the performance apart with less marketing hype getting in the way etc.

Has it been done before?

What'd it take to get something like that organised?

You should PCA a sack of sand for better results!

Rather than wasting a bag of sand or kibbles n bits on every jump - we could hook rigs up to a bunch of blind people and use the KnB to lure their seeing eye dogs over the edge while we PCA their owners - that way we can raise some beer money by selling the footage to the RSPCA as well as the association for the blind

The sack of sand would be more ideal for opening heights providing it's dropped exactly the same way every time (not spinning or tumbling one time and stable the next),

But the interesting thing would be to hear the jumpers impressions of the handling and flare characteristics of each canopy if he truely didn't know what he was jumping.
