Hi everyone!
After several years of research and travel, I have finally completed the first ever website on the World's 500 Highest Bridges.
You can see how much has changed in the last decade as China now has half of the World's 100 highest bridges with more to come. As recently as 2000, Royal Gorge and New River were #1 and #2 but are now no longer among the top 10.
Most of this is due to China but North Americans can look forward to a lot of high bridge activity in Mexico as two major mountain highways are under construction. Not much going on in Europe except for Spain and Portugal who are playing catchup with France, Italy and Germany.
So have fun but be sure to visit the Introduction to learn about height measurements and the inclusion of reservoir bridges whose height can vary tremendously.
And above all be safe.
Regards,
Eric Sakowski
