Pirates free weapons ship after taking £2.2m ransom (Times Online)
Nairobi Somali pirates have freed a Ukrainian ship laden with arms and Soviet-designed tanks after a five-month stand-off. They sped off in small boats after the £2.2 million ransom – one of the largest reported to have been paid – was dropped by parachute.
