"Old Man Cole" and NRGB?

Does anyone know whatever happened to "Old Man Cole", the guy who owned the house at the shuttle bus pickup area, at the bototm of the NRGB? I always heard stories that he used to let jumpers hide in his house after a jump. Of course, nobody has lived there for years.

Now the main question: Whatever happened to the property he owned? Wouldn't it be cool if that property was for sale? My guess is the NPS bought it "very quickly" years ago... Any clues?

Mr. Cole passed away sometime prior to Bridge Day '97. His property is now owned by NPS and the house has been removed. His son is still living and is on good terms w/ NPS.

Any help?
