This morning at around 10 o'clock a message was recieved by the norwegian news agency that a proposal to make BASE jumping legal was made by the norwegian authorities.

The new rule would be that BASE jumpers could now apply for a permit to BASE jump anywhere, making the police unable to press any kind of charges if the permit is in order.

For example if the BASE jumper was to jump off a cliff, and planned to land on a farm, he could make the jump with the farm owners permission, aswell as a permit from the authorities.

The people behind this proposal believes that BASE jumping is a part of our society, you can not make it go away, so making rules for the sport to follow would make it a lot safer.

To you totalitarian policy makers who think _you_ can make BASE jumping go away just by lying and stealing our property and putting us in jail:

Get a clue from a country with bureaucrats who are clearly much smarter and more ethical than you.

And while you're at it, call the French and the Italians and see how they handle this sport which _you_, in your totalitarian arrogance, have decreed to be a crime.
