Curios about am antennas. Got the word that some people are jumping off these antennas and was woundering how they got on them? Heard Rubber Ladders were used. HAHA.
Anybody got the info on this?

I jumped one. I essentially just jumped onto the thing from the roof of the building next to it. I've got no idea if that's a good idea or not, but it worked for me.

However, take note! By the time I finished the 300 foot climb I was extremely nauseous. My watch also started heating up. In short, it was not a fun experience. Whatever that thing was pumping out pretty well cooked me, and I got off it as fast as I could. I wouldn't recommend jumping one of them.

But then, it's your life...

Generally AM antennas are fairly low and very HOT.
Antenna Theory dicatates this. I'm not too far along on the darwin scale, but even I wouldn't venture up one.:P
