OPERATIONAL NOTES

Court Ruling - The Ninth Circuit has ruled that
the search of a rented houseboat floating on Lake
Powell based on probable cause that the houseboat
contained evidence of BASE jumping violations was
a valid search under the Carroll Doctrine for
vehicle searches. In effect, the Ninth Circuit
joined the Tenth Circuit in holding that a
houseboat found on open public waters is a
"vehicle" for the purposes of the Fourth Amendment
and may be searched like any other vehicle if
probable cause exists to believe the houseboat contains or is evidence of a crime.

Well folks,the jackbooted thugs pulled it off again. 1999 saw a Supreme Court ruling on car stops and searching of passengers,etc.,so we shouldn't be surprised at all. Seems the human rights clock stoped at 1984,BIG BROTHER IS HERE! The citizens of this "republic" aren't in charge,the stalinist(Demon-crats) the mega-corp lackeys(Repubicans) are! This is "profiling" pure and simple. Please tell me Ranger Rick,what is the difference between your heavy-handed actions and those of King George' red coats kicking-in the door 225 years ago of a colonist house. A member of the police state decides he/she "thinks" you are suspect,THEREFORE YOU ARE! In recent years we have witnessed the trashing of the 1st/2nd/4th admendments,what is next,the 14th ??? Don't count on the ACLU either as they have their own narrow agenda. My view of this "3rd millennium" now only 14 months away,isn't a very bright one,no it is indeed,bleak. This type of activity has been going on for years; especially in the national parks. I have been searched and pushed around on several occasions; particularly in Yosemite, where I have been rock climbing for over 20 years. I could tell you stories that you would not believe. Our government is much worse than Nazi Germany ever was under Hitler because The United States was founded by patriots who were sick of being treated the way they were in England and went to a great deal of trouble to make sure that a system was in place to prevent the gradual formation of an oppressive and confiscatory government again. We are told that we are free while at the same time we are enslaved for about one third of our working lives to pay taxes to support an out of control government that is using our money to beat us up, search our vehicles and homes and throw us in prison for "crimes" that do not hurt anyone. I hate to tell you, but it is not going to get any better until the second coming of Christ sorts it all out. The truth may set you free, but not until you are dead. We have created a limp wristed society of "cookie cutter yuppies" who will not stand up for you or for themselves until they cannot make their Lexus payments or the payments on the homes they can not afford in the first place because they have to maintain their status among the other idiots they live their lives to impress, even though those people would not even stop to help them if they were bleeding to death on the side of the road. Let's face it. They constitute the majority; we are the tiny minority. The "Beast" is alive and rearing it's many evil heads daily in the form of our government and our court system. God help us all !
