I received a phone call tonight from Dennis and he was really excited, said he had an idea and needed my help. He told me that Dr. Joe, Mick, Henry and Avery were going to court on Mon. Nov. 8th at the courthouse in Yosemite. He thought we should post something to get as many people there as possible to support these guys and our sport. He was so excited, talking fast (you know how he gets) and then the little voice came on and said "you have 1 minute left", damn I hate it when that happens. Anyway, I told him I'd go online since it had been a few days)and post something, but first I decided to check my email and there it was, already planned "Rally in Yosemite". Dennis will be both bummed and happy when I tell him later tonight. Bummed it wasn't his idea first but happy that its already in the works. I am definitely going to be there with my son Justin and hope that I see alot of you there. We do need to support these guys, Dr. Joe, Mick, Henry, Avery, and especially Jan, all went there, not just for themselves but for everyone in our sport. Jan gave her life. Our sport has suffered another great loss. We need to show up, make an impression, a good impression. This is our chance to show Jan, Frank and Dr. Joe, Mick, Henry and Avery that we support them, and want to help them in any way we can. The media will be there, we need to show them we are civilized adults. Dennis is in jail for "aiding and abetting". We don't know what Dr.Joe, Mick, Henry and Avery are going to be charged with. Anything is possible it seems when you're just a "base jumper". The media will be sure to put it on national t.v. Be very careful in how you act, what you say, it reflects on all of us. We have to keep the drive going, there is strength in numbers. I think if there is any way you can get there, please do so. Anyone needing a ride from Marin/Sonoma area, let me know, I'd love to have to rent a van!! :)Caren(:
P.S. - Dennis misses everyone, loves the mail, said some of the guys don't get any. I sent him chocolate and they didn't let him have any, so keep sending the letters, or email them to me and I'll mail it for you and for those that still don't know his address: Prisoner Dennis McGlynn (or is it Mr., Honorable, maybe Infamous???) c/o Washoe County Jail, 911 Parr Blvd., Reno, NV 89512 (damn I know that by heart, terrible to know a jail address by memory huh?)
