I'm new to all this, my mad mate is teaching me to drive and he's interested in base jumping so I promised to find out some details...Well my navigating around sites is as ropey as my driving skills, I either can't find what I want or I end up back in the same place I started at an hour ago!!
I need to know where there are sites in UK and what specialised gear is needed (where to get it from might be a help as well!)
Shaun is into freefall parachuting, so he's got a rig etc, but I have to admit to not knowing if base jumping gear is different so any help would be appreciated.

Hope someone out there can help me to appear knowledgeable, or at least as if I've done some research!!

Thanx, witchwolf. x;-)

There's plenty of info in this site. If in doubt - ask.

Don't go doing something dumb. Get the right gear, get trained, get a mentor and then jump.

It's real easy until something goes Pete Tong and this is proabably the most unforgiving sport going.

If you need references / answers / advice then send me a note. I won't necessarily answer your questions myself (I don't consider myself to have enough experience) but as the saying goes...I know a man who does.

Live dangerously, stay safe!
