Cabo Girao

In anticipation of an upcoming holiday with the missus.

Has anyone ever checked out exit points from Cabo Girao on Madeira? Or has anyone ever found an exit point and jumped it? It's over 2000 feet high with excellent landing areas, the problem is that most of it isn't sheer although I think some of it may be.

Hi MT,

Cabo Girao is slightly underhung (I know.. it looks amazing), and it would probably only be possible with a crane or long platform. There are a few other spots there though, including a couple of S's and some E's (one of them by a viewing platform). As a portuguese island, it would have much the same laws as Mainland Portugal, and the scenery is amazing.

Drop me an email and let me know when you're going - I should be able to get you some directions, then you can slip away 'fishing' when the other half isn't watching.
