Once again hats off to all of our old and new friends in the mid-alantic.
As usuall Scott and Justin had our packing area and campsite mowed and firewood socked apon our arival on Saturday. And had a landing area mowed for us as well.
We did not hesitate so we climed up the 327 free stander and popped off the first load. All was well and Mike was going for his second. We saw him walking back to the camp site and low and behold a neighbor had kicked him off the tower. Our hearts sank thinking we have pissed off the locals and we had shut the site down. Once again Justin, Scott and their mom took care of everything and smoothed it out with the nice old man. Jummping continued!! By the time we had the third load going half the county was there to watch. I think I counted 25 people watching. As usuall they were full of questions, and one guy asked if he could fly a cessna 152 around the tower to watch us exit the tower on Sunday. Could he? you bet your ass he could.... Sunday came and Billy Joe deliverd. And boy did he. Justin and Bobbie climed the tower to get a look at their part of the world from 327ft. (Bobby took all the pictues I am posting and burned us all a cd of the pics before we headed home) Thank you Bobbie! The three of us climbed up behind them and waited on the plane. Billy Joe showed up but the winds were keeping the 152 at a distance and it was very bumpy for those guys and us. The air to tower video was bummpy but the visuals of the plane going by you as we exited are more than I can put into words. We got a total of 16 jumps over the weekend and met a bunch of really cool folks. We owe all of these folks our deepest respect and so much thanks for making all of it take place. If there were more people like you our sport would be more understood.......
Mike any time I can drop your pliot chute for you let me know.
Jason I am so sorry for the missed phone messages (you can spank me later)
