I was curious if anybody else has gone threw what I'm going threw right now? 3 weeks ago I had a bad down wind landing, complete tear of my ACL and torn meniscus. Surgery replaced the ACL and fixed the meniscus.
I wanted to know if anybody elso went threw this and how there jumps are now?
How long were you before jumping again?
Any problems climbing A's?
Whatever info you got would be helpful.
Thanks
Sitting here crying because I can't jump right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

jeff,
i wish i had good news for you but i don't.last year i tore my acl and meniscus in my right knee on a pond swooping attempt(it wasn't pretty but made for one hell of a video) anyway after surgery in august i couldn't jump until jan. and even then it was against the doctors and physical therapist recomendation i still have some some problems with it on high speed run outs and hard landings but it starting to get better (9 months later) as for climbing a's, well it starts out ok but after a little while it will get pretty sore. the best thing to do is to keep working out the leg with weights everyday or every other day. i jumped at bridgeday with a brace and had no problems same as skydiving. long as i wear the brace it keeps the knee a little more stable for landing.it will be about a year before it is actually back to 100 % then the arthritis starts kicking in.so good luck with it and hopfully it won't keep you down to long.just don't rush it or you could do some permanant damage.

Dude
Had a bad down wind and hurt my ankle bad on the rocks. 5 weeks later, and I jumped again. With all the bad luck, I hurt it again. Now I will stay put till all is 100%. Stay off till it is strong and fully healled. 6-12 months is short compared to 6-12 years, if you do a double wammy on it.
It is a head thing...and get the head right.
