Funny, you'd think after all this time (modern BASE jumping has it's 25th anniversary this August) we’d have come up with some secret signal or something so fellows like Marty could head out to the local DZ and quietly and easily find other BASE jumpers.

I’d always look for the plaster casts . . .

Well that would work in situations where BASE jumpers actually _GO_ to the dz. In considering the folks in our area, only one actually goes to a dz on a regular basis... the remaining jumpers make it to a dz about... oh.... once in a blue moon or a month of sundays - pick your cliche'. Believe it or not, the 'net (and particularly this board) are the best improvement to the 'call the locals rule' since... well... anything.
