Shut up the lot of you!
To anyone looking at this board to assess the maturity of the community I say they are right to be falling off their seats laughing.
Robin, Dennis, Avery, Wooden Indian, all the other children - keep your bickering personal and use e-mail. You are making this board a laughable farce and displaying your inability to co-operarate on one event.
Piss off and let people use the board for productive purposes.

Anon-if you used you head, maybe you would realize that since these politics exist, obviously several base jumpers think it is important enough to discuss. That makes sense. Yes the politics suck. But what also sucks is your obscene mouth telling everyone who reads this board to shut the **** up about something they want to address. After all this is a forum for base jumpers. A hint: If you don't like the topic, don't click on it.

This is a personal row being aired in public. It has nothing to do with furthering the sport.
I challenge you to point out exactly what all the finger pointing and bickering can possibly do to further the sport.
I know these people are entitled to fight over who deserves credit but I can't really see the point in it being here for me to see. A simple phone call could clear it up instead of the cover of the BASE board which is resulting in people making various allegations and damaging relationships beyond repair.
I just don't see this as a good way to settle this dispute although I have being wrong once before ;-)

Be aware that the chief ranger at Yosemite reads these messages.
That is how he stays attuned to the attitude of BASE jumpers.
He has been informed that Cliff Jumpers have a more constructive nature and a different level of maturity, and thus, are more likely to follow regulations if cliff jumping is once again allowed at this and other state parks.
I would not be surprised to find that other rangers in other parks read the BASE Board.
I realize that BASE jumping would not be any fun, for many, if it became legal. The majority of the community, however, might be intested in being allowed to legally parachute from National Park Service cliffs.
