I'm very sorry to say that there has been an accident here in AZ. None of us local jumpers were there so were starting to pick up bits and pieces of the story from the local media. My info could be wrong. Yesterday a German national was hiking up the backside at CH and fell while hiking up. He broke his femur and apparently ruptured the femural artery and bled to death inside of his leg. I think that his name is Schreiner, although I'm not certain. He was a BASE jumper going to the top to make a jump. The site CH is a difficult site to climb up as the jump is the easy part. There's a couple of spots that are technical, requiring hand and foot holds on a sheer face. Once again my info is very sketchy and I hope that I'm wrong. Our thoughts and well wishes go out to the jumper and his or her family.
