We went to the Millenium Dome yesterday (too busy to jump it) and it was #####. Since we were so bored we decided to see how vigilent they were. We wandered round talking to security guards wearing our rigs and geeking the camera and it took over half an hour for them to approach us, we even asked a security guard if he would show us how to get to the gantry! Once approached the conversation went like this;
Guard: I'm afraid you gentlemen will have to leave.
Craig: Why's that then?
Guard: Because you are wearing BASE rigs
Andy: Oh ok. Do we get our entrance fees refunded?
Guard: No problem at all
Andy and Craig: Right result -this place is shite.
So they say they don't agree with jumping it but what they're really saying is the Millenium Experience is free to BASE jumpers. So the moral of the story is go to the dome and when you get bored stick your rigs on and you get escorted to a little room to de-rig in private before receiving a refund of your £20 entrance fee and going away to spend the money on something more interesting. Quality shout!
