Hey,

This link leads nowhere (the article has been purged from the server).

Was there another accident in Moab over the weekend?

Please provide more info if you've got it (I've got some friends out there this week, and I'd be concerned to find out that one of them got hurt).

Mario, Earl? Got any more information?

Thanks in advance,

The article is there but the board's software can't cope with commas in URLs? Here is the text from the page.

Parachutist injured in jump near Moab

MOAB — A BASE jumper was critically injured when a wind gust forced him back into the sheer cliff he had parachuted from moments earlier.

Paul Geddes, age unknown, Middleville, Mich., was jumping off the 200-foot Talus slope about three miles outside Moab when he collided with the wall and dropped some 100 feet to the canyon floor. Grand County Sheriff's deputy Archie Walker said search and rescue crews were able to transport Geddes to a medical helicopter landing zone where he was transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo.

Walker said Geddes suffered head trauma and remained in critical condition Monday morning.

BASE is an acronym for buildings, antennae, spans and earth — objects from which jumpers parachute.

sorry to bear bad news; get well soon Paul.
