Today was ONE HELL OF A DAY in "the Candy Store" That's what the lads call Mineral Canyon, the latest jewel in the Moab area. Can you say "Major big load"? Four carloads of jumpers had a wild time jumping two sites, "Big Lips" and "The Gash". It was very windy today and everyone was major amped, so we witnessed some dicey openings and two 180's, one with a wall strike. The canopy flew into the wall, turned right and flew all the way inside a large chimney, collapsed completely, re-inflated and flew out backwards less than thirty feet off the talus. The lucky jumper banged up his ankle and got a few bruises, but that was it. We literally carried him into the Brew House for dinner. Tomorrow - 08:00 - at it again. Yea ! ! !
