OK, so I'm sitting here fuming.
Fred and I sent a package to Dennis last week for his birthday.
No cookies, no goodies; just printed material.
Should have been perfectly acceptable.
But, no dice.
Fred just handed it back to me with a big red stamp:
"REFUSED: UNAUTHORIZED MAIL"

Brenda, please tell Dennis we did not forget him.
We'll send it again, this time to you. Please let us know the best address, as your e-mail seems to be acting up again, too.

And, Robin, maybe you're right afterall.
Maybe someone should get on the Reno judge's ass.
I don't know if I'm the person to do it,
but I think a piece of MY mind is the least
he should hear.

No time for good behavior, my ass!!!

This is just getting me even MORE fired up.
Who's the Grand Poobah at Washoe, anyway???
Bet I can kick his ass.

Hello Janet,
I found out the hard way too!
I sent Dennis a paper from Petaluma, it came back,
with that big red stamp on it.
Books, Newspapers, and Magazines must be sent directly from the publisher.
The exception is, if you cut articles out of a
paper or magazine, they MAY make it through.
I got Dennis a subscription to USA Today, every day they send it right to him in the pokey.
The McGlynn's home address is:
10472 Iris Road, Truckee, CA 96161
As far as the other "No good time" topic, the
jailers in Washoe County have nothing to do with
that aspect of Dennis' period of incarceration.
I'm sure if it was up to them, they'd have turned
him loose long ago. (That's Dennis' take as well,
they have enough "real" crooks in there already.)
That order comes from Magistrate Alba (in Utah).
I do not mean to defend the jailers, just to get it straight as to where the problem is.
Fred Morelli is working on the matter.
And now for a completely related subject, and this is fun, a bunch of us went to see Dennis on his
Birthday this past Saturday. Did you know he went in to jail on MY Birthday!
Anyway, they only allow two people to have a televisit, so Brenda and I sat side by side, and
had a pretty decent conversation with Jaibird.
Meanwhile, just a couple feet behind us, was Mick,
Michelle, Swa, Denise, John, the Nolan's, and a couple others. Dennis could see the crowd in the monitor, as "our" video camera was picking them up. Of course, the shenanigans were hilarious, and finally, old Mr. Salty jail dude comes over and says, "Y'all can't stand so close to the T.V.".
So I guess they backed up a couple feet.
The shenanigans continued.
Then, twenty-five minutes in to our 1/2 hour visit, Denise produces a Birthday Cake, and I think Jim Nolan holds up a "Happy Birthday" sign!
We all bust into a jovial happy birthday to you,
and Dennis is just beaming in the monitor! We just barely manage to finish the song when Mr. Salty cuts off the video. The visit is OVER!
It was all the way "Muff Bro's" style!!
Brenda and I had to go retrieve our ID's from
Mr. Salty, who was shaking mad, and we have been banned from future visits with Mr. McGlynn.
It was worth it!

Damn, you guys are GOOD!

Yeah, I'm sure it was worth it just to see Dennis
smile like that. Way cool.

And it made me feel better, too.

Now, I need the address of someone who ISN'T banned from further visits! http://www.baselogic.com/forum/images/happy.gif

But, I just heard about a discount Southwest sale
going on.... And, I'm due for a road trip...
Todd P., you up for another adventure????

Thanks, Avery.
You and Brenda just jumped to the top of my Christmas list (sorry, Nick!).

PS: Fred says hi to the Nolans, too.

To Everyone at that Awesome B-Day Party- Dennis says a MUCHO THANK YOU! It almost made his stay in there worth it! I talked to him the other night. He was STILL beaming from it! He called Caren (Bearinger) immediately after he got back to his "pod" to tell her just how much fun he had. He called his mother the next day to tell her just how much fun he had.....and he called me the next day to tell me just how much fun he had!

Unfortunately, at that point i had to fill him in on the nasty reality that Avery and I are now banned from seeing him. He's very bummed out about that, but in his words, "at least we got one over on them!" Yes we did! We went there and Dennis had fun - oops, he's in jail and fun is NOT allowed! Gotta put a stop to that action folks - so now your wife cannot visit you for 30 days!

Anyway - as i said, he's pretty bummed about that part - but in a warped kind of way - he's proud - it was TRULY a MUFF BRO moment/adventure.... I'll still be going to the jail with others when they visit....i'll sit in the background and blow kisses at my lover....wish i could talk to him, but his time's almost up and yes, it WAS worth it to see the look on his face when we pulled that one off! He was BEAMING! And this WILL go down in MUFF BRO history! I doubt that Washoe Cnty Jail has seen the likes of us or a party such as we had before!

Thank you Avery, Denise, Swa, Mick, Michelle, Truckee Johh, Jim & Shannon Nolan, Michael & wife - you REALLY made his birthday and WILL NOT be forgotten! That was just TOO COOL! Thank you!

Peace, Love & blue skies.....brenda
