I've seen before travel insurance offered to intrepid folks like us who scoot about the globe doing dangerous stuff. Said insurance, if memory serves, covers nasty accidents in far-off places. Things like air ambulance service, surgery, etc.

Anyone have a good referral for said insurance? It suddenly occured to me that - duh - it might be a good idea for someone like me to have health insurance when flopping off stuff in remote places around the world.

Thanks in advance - woof!

I had coverage through Specialty Risk International, Inc. during my Europe trip this summer.

Their "Liaison" Travel Medical Insurance package has a "Hazardous Sport" coverage option which includes parachuting activities.

How much did you pay for the insurance?

You can get a quote on-line through their website. Look for yourself.

Sadly, it appears that SRI doesn't cover folks who live in Oregon. Guess they don't like all us long-haired hippies. . .

Anyway, other leads much appreciated.
