FROM NIKKI DAISHER:
--------------------- Hi all, the Perrine Bridge Festival is coming up Sep. 5 and 6th. This year we have added a fun competition between the BASE jumpers with the winner taking home a Sony HandyCam. The basic concept is if you raise the most money for the Children with Special Needs you win. There is a pledge sheet available on our website, download and try to get friends, families, or coorporate sponsors to pledge a $$ amount per jump you do during the festival hours of 10am - 6pm on Sat. Sep 6th. The person with the greatest total of money raised will win a new Sony Camera. For more details check out www.perrinebridgefestival.com and go to the BASE info and Reg. page. Also we will be doing a BBQ for the BASE jumpers on Sat. evening with an after hours party to follow. Location TBA. We hope to see everyone this year, last year was a great success and this year will be too with your help. Looking forward to seeing you all again real soon! -- Nikki Sue Daisher =

We have the boat, van and party planned in the LZ afterwards. I know there are a few specialty jumps happenning as well as some skydiving demonstrations with Bridge swooping like last year. If you can get the time, this weekend is good fun with good strokes for Twin Falls. The place that not only allows jumping every day and night of the year but rallies behind it and is excited for BASE jumping in general. Who Is with me this weekend?

Thanks everyone for making the Perrine Bridge Festival a huge success. Altogether we raised over $50,000 for Children with special needs. The whole town is pumped up on the nice friendly cool guy BASE jumpers. And we made over 450 jumps on Saturday alone.
Shane McConkey won a sony video camera by raising over $5,200. He hiked all 21 jumps he did that day. He is giving the camera to Will Burks who raised the 2nd largest amount of money on his 32nd birthday. Jim McGovern took third in the fundraising efforts. Thanks to you and all who participated. BASE jumpers brought in a little over $11,00 in jumping pledges. Awesome Effort and hats off to all of Yall !!!!!!!!!!! Tell a friend, Spread the good word. The Perrine Bridge Festival 2009 is less than a year away. Practice up, stay whole and we'll see you all next year. Rock ON!!!! |
