This is all very late, but this is probably the first time in months I've been able to sit down at a computer for any reasonable length of time.
Sandy and I were married at TF last month and want to say THANKYOU to everyone that either attended or sent us their best wishes. To those that were there: Tom, Steve, Mark, Miles, Bryan, Luke, Chad, Stephanie, Grace, Craig, DJ, Ray, Slim, Al, Nathan, LJ, Raistlin, Ian, Des, Matt, Ron, Hazel, Dave, Theresa, Bert, Don and a large portion of tourists and residents of TF.....it was wonderful sharing our big day with all of you! Some highlights over the weekend for me: -the beautiful weather...the good vibes....no injuries... -jumping in front of family for the first time -witnessing Slim's first unpacked jumps -Sandy's first H2O jump with a round -Seeing my buds from Colorado again. -TARD with a round -Hanging out with the PDX crew (my new adoptive family!) -Managing to make a whole night of HotRocks without getting kicked out -Seeing my sister's boyfriend get so amped on BASE. -Miles and Co. having fun as always. -DJ's liberal use of other jumpers PACKED rigs while we were jumping unpacked! -it's true, every wedding has a drunk Scot! -Don's absolute hospitality! -Having our wedding jump go perfectly. -Marrying the woman of my dreams I finally got a 'K' visa to move to the US after 8 months waiting and started work in Portland a few weeks ago. Getting ready to amp up some jumping for the latter part of the year. If anyone's passing through PDX give us a call...first pint's on us. :D :P Last edited by base587; August 4th, 2005 at 10:14 AM. |

It was great to be a part of it and I am having a wow of a time jumping without packing. Still feel bad about showing up right on the close of ceremony. - That wil never happewn again. Couldn't believe it could start without me!
I have moved to the next level from tards. This is a great past time for the crappy objects we have here in Oz. I love diving off - it's the perfect answer to going head down! I had a blast at the wedding - It was great time. Regards SLIM Australian BASE Association:o |
